The Elizabeth Richardson Center (ERC) was founded in 1963 by a group of parents dedicated to supporting children with disabilities.
Initially operating out of a single classroom in Fayetteville, Arkansas, ERC expanded its services over the years to meet the growing needs of individuals with developmental disabilities across Northwest Arkansas.
Named after Elizabeth Richardson, the first teacher that supported our mission, the center became a pioneer in providing education, therapy, and vocational training.
Today, ERC continues its mission by offering a wide range of services, including adult day programs, employment support, and residential care. With facilities across Northwest Arkansas, the organization remains a vital resource for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Through partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and state agencies, ERC helps people with disabilities achieve greater independence and quality of life. More than 60 years since its founding, ERC stands as a leader in disability services, ensuring that individuals of all abilities have opportunities to learn, work, and thrive.
